What are the check in and out times?
Check in time is 5pm and we ask that you leave the property by 11am on your departure day. This is to allow plenty of time to clean the lodge and change the towels and linen in time for the next guests.
Where do we pick up the keys from?
The keys for your lodge are held in a key safe at the front door. You will be supplied with an access code which relates to the date of your arrival. Please remember to leave your key in the safe when you depart!
Are linen and towels included?
Linen and towels are included in the price.
Which properties accept dogs?
We allow one dog in the Loch Morar Lodge
How close are the nearest shops and restaurants?
There is a Spar shop in Arisaig which is a mile away. You can walk there in 10 minutes or drive in just a couple. There is also a hotel with a bar which serves food and a couple of other dining options in the village. There is a larger COOP and Spar in Mallaig which is 7 miles away. You will also find a number of bars, cafes and restaurants in Mallaig. The nearest supermarkets are in Fort William where you will find a Morrisons, M&S Foodstore and an Aldi. There’s even an Argos!
Are there any swimming pools or leisure facilities in the area?
There is a leisure centre with a swimming pool in Mallaig. It’s run by the community so best to check the website for opening times etc. There is a larger facility in Fort William operated by Highland Council. They run fun sessions for families with floats etc. There’s also a cinema and ten-pin bowling alley in Fort William as well as in indoor climbing centre – all great for wet days!!
Cot / High Chair
We can supply a cot and high chair. Please make us aware of the request when booking. Please bring your own bedding.
Where can I fuel my vehicle up?
There is a petrol station in Mallaig but they are only open on Sunday during the peak summer season. We suggest you fill up in Fort William where there are multiple options including a garage at the Morrisions Supermarket.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Each lodge has it’s own secured network. You will be given the access code upon arrival. We are in the Highlands so the download speeds are not brilliant but it is good enough for You Tube and general surfing. We have been told we are due an infrastructure upgrade in 2019 but have no confirmed dates yet!
What is your refund policy due the Covid 19 crisis?
In the event of a localised lockdown which affects our ability to trade at the time of your stay, we will refund the full cost of your booking or permit you to move to new dates at no extra cost. If you are already in the property when the lockdown commences and are ordered to leave the premises and return to your home, we will refund the cost of the unused nights. If the localised lockdown affects the area in which you stay but has no impact on our ability to operate our business, then I’m afraid no refund will be provided. Please contact us to discuss the situation with us before booking if you are at all concerned.
